about

The album "Asleep" is the debut album of Miłosz Pieczonka. To record this album, Miłosz invited his musician friends from Berlin: Lenny Rehm on drums, Pascal Jarchow on double bass and Fabian Willmann on tenor saxophone as a guest. The album "Asleep" is a tribute to the leader's first inspirations and musical passions, i.e. improvised music. The album contains purely instrumental music with original compositions by Miłosz, which combines very strong and energetic improvisations with equally surprising romantic melodies. The music from the album "Asleep" is inspired by the works of Ornette Coleman, Tomasz Stańko and many other masters of improvised music but the language and interactions of the musicians are very individual and the sound of the saxophone is personal and expressive. The album "Asleep" was created out of the need to get rid of a lot of emotions and make specific musical ideas and experiences realistic.
